Bill Viertelhausen has been painting off and on for the past twenty years with acrylic and oil paints. Currently, most paintings are in oils as acrylic paints in plein air situations on hot summer days dry out on the pallet before application on canvas.

 Most of Bill’s paintings are landscape scenes that he has photographed and reproduced on canvas over the winter months in the quiet of his Manitoulin Island studio.
