Brenda is a creative and versatile artist that has found her passion for painting. In the short space
of seven years, she has developed her skills through formal training and practice. Two of her pieces were accepted in a juried exhibition in 2016 at the Marianne Van Silfhout Gallery, St. Lawrence College. In 2018 her piece “Passage to Fortune” won the “People’s Choice” award at the same juried exhibit. In December 2018, Brenda was the featured artist for in the online magazine, Thousand Islands Life.com. In 2021 three of her paintings were accepted in a juried exhibition for the Spencerville Mill Foundations’ “Creativity Through Crisis”, Brenda’s piece “Low Lands” received the “People’s Choice” award. She has participated in numerous exhibitions over the past few years in the Brockville area and her work can be seen on a regular basis at the Brockville General Hospital Art Corridor Gallery. In 2020, with the pandemic in full swing, Brenda, along with a fellow artist, organized 2 outdoor pop up “Art in the Yard” shows and sale. These 2 events were so well received; they have continued and have now expanded to host 21 local artists.

“I have a love of art and my passion for painting is expanding as I explore new styles, techniques anddiscover parts of our beautiful Country for the first time. Each of my paintings tells a story of something that resonates with me through an experience, often of a place I have visited for the first time. I love to share these stories through my work and I am grateful when others appreciate what I have created.”
