I am an illustration artist who works every day at my home studio in Hartington, Ontario, just a short drive north of Kingston. My illustrations explore Ontario's
natural beauty: the glistening lakes, the glorious outcroppings of the Canadian Shield, and of course the real stars of the show, the local critters!
In my artwork, I strive to show the peace and contentment of the natural world that blesses me here every day on Buffy Lake. Over the years, my work has evolved into an illustrative and magical style with a strong focus on composition and rhythmical line. All of my illustrations are rendered primarily in watercolour paint and graphite pencil on heavy cold pressed watercolour paper. Many also include coloured pencil, charcoal, gold leaf, gold ink and black ink.
