Artist Statement

Creating Art is my way of intertwining the essence of my soul with the physical space I inhabit.
My artistic process is ever evolving, characterized by constant experimentation and learning. My art serves as a testament to my journey & leaves an indelible mark on the sands of time .

Artist Biography

My life has been a continuous journey along "the road less travelled." Why take the highway through life when the scenic route offers so much more? I've always ventured beyond the conventional boundaries.

I began as a weaver, then a glassblower, and later, a tipi maker. Unexpectedly, I stumbled into the world of music. I took my first harp lesson on my 30th birthday and spent the next two decades touring and playing the Celtic harp, producing 15 recordings, both under labels and independently. I toured extensively and taught Celtic harp as well.

When that chapter naturally concluded, I returned to my roots in fiber art and quilting. Initially, my work had a charming, naïve style, but it has since evolved into more realistic expressions. Now, nearly 70 years old, I find myself tuning my harp between sewing sessions, painting, and creating.

It's worth noting that I was born with only one arm, defying the expectations of my elders and the path they envisioned for me. My muse has led me down extraordinary roads, and for that, I am profoundly grateful.
